is it possible to use  the tutorial TITITO if  we  produce  multiple tables?

Volker Dirr

if you mean "multible tables" like "You generated a FET timetable for odd weeks and a FET timetable for even weeks.", then it is possible.
Just import the 2 tables and set the correct starting times like i wrote it in the manual. You only need to increase the "interval" from 1 up to 2.

In most complex variant you can even import a single FET timetable per day.

Please let me know if you need more help.

thanks a lot  for your  answer .actually i meant when you produce more than one timetable 5 or six probabilities they are different of course in content

Volker Dirr

TiTiTo is not a timetable generator like FET. It will/should only work the the "correct" timetable.
So you can generate 5 or six probabilities with different content with FET. Then you need to decide if you want to use different timetables at different days or not and import the timetables.
But per day there can be only one timetable. I can't see an advantage in using 2 different timetables at a single day, since students and teachers need to know if they should use timetable "1", timetable "2" or ...
Please let me know an example. Maybe i misunderstand your request.

I have a situation where we use a .fet file for the morning shift and a .fet file for the evening shift, can TITITO handle it? I have tried it and got the "Ambiguous Valid Timetables" message  :'(

You are working with 2 separated files? in that case FET can't handle correct about max days per week.
Maybe it is better to use the Moroccan or Algerian custom FET version. Don't worry. The names are a bit confusing. Both versions can be used in every country and care about morning and afternoon.
That files can be imported with TiTiTo.

I didn't wrote an import for your suggestion. I am not sure if i can code that. At least not now. I am currently to busy with other stuff. I am also not sure if that is a good idea. I think the better variant will be using one of the custom versions, because you can care about max days per week with them.

The files are separated because the teachers/years are completely different with each shift, rarely do they share common teachers but it's not the case this time. Is it really recommended that I use the custom version?

Totaly different teachers and years. ah. ok. i didn't expect such a dataset. then it is good to do it in 2 different files. (good for timetabling, because i guess it will be easier to find bugs in the dataset).
but "bad" for TiTiTo. i didn't expect that someone use that.
hmm... if teachers and years are different you might use simply TiTiTo 2 times. (just don't change the folder of the database. because if you change it both version will access to the same/latest database. if you don't change the database it will be store in the diretory of the exe file.)

Matsumoto

I'm not sure I follow, because if I change the timetables under the settings I'll lose the work I have done, right? And adding 2 FET files gives the ambiguous timetables error message.

Sorry for the delay.
You can try to start 2 different exe files. The problem is that both use the save settings.
if you added a file like "c:\database.dat", than both exe files access to the same file of course. so you will get ambiguous timetables.
but if you add a file like "database.dat", than both exe files access to the file in their own directory. so on different files.

Volker Dirr

Sorry for the long delay.
It is possible to import multiple timetables now.

If you have got an FET timetable for morning and an other timetable for afternoon, then you can do it like this:
a) check if both tables have got the same day names
b) check if both tables have got different hour names
c) import with TiTiTo the morning timetable first ("normal" import)
d) merge now the second timetable with TiTiTo (also in the "timetable" dialog, just press "merge" instead of "import").
