Thank you for your suggestions! I will add them to the list of suggestions (TODO list). Some of them might already be solved:

1) I consider max days between activities constraints as not used too often, and I prefer to leave the user add these constraints after adding the activity(ies).

2) Maybe you could use the new just released constraint students max activity tags from a set per day. Unfortunately, you can restrict only to 1 or 2 tags, not 4, but you might be able to use it in a certain way.

3) Add two constraints teachers interval max days per week.

4) Teacher max days per week, and constrain this teacher to have activities on Saturday with a constraint activities occupy min time slots from selection.

Thank you for your suggestions! Please tell me which of your 1..4 should be added in the TODO, considering my answers above (I mean which ones do you consider unsolved yet).

You cannot input 20 activities and let FET assign only 6. You need to choose the exact 6 activities.

To assign activities (students, subject) to teachers and time slots, you could use the Block planning mode, but I think it won't work in your case.

I am sorry, but I don't understand. Please try to use the FET terminology in English when you write. By "classes" do you mean "students sets"? By "card" do you mean "activity tag"?

I don't understand. The new constraints are teacher OR all teachers OR a students set OR all students have a maximum of 1 OR 2 max activity tags per day OR real day from a set of activity tags.

I am not sure I understand correctly. Maybe you would like to send us your file.

Unfortunately, there is no constraint to limit the number of hours in a building/room. There are the constraints activities occupy max time slots from selection and activities max simultaneous in selected time slots.

The new official version was just released! I hope everything is correct and you will benefit from it. Thank you for your good suggestions!

On Sunday, 8 September 2024, FET-6.25.0 was released. From the ChangeLog:

  - Added the constraints teacher(s)/students (set) max activity tags from a set per day/real day (suggested by Thai Chi Phuong and Vũ Ngọc Thành). This constraint accepts as the maximum number of tags 1 or 2, and incorporates the old-style constraints teacher(s)/students (set) max two activity tags per day/real day from N1, N2, N3.
  - Added the constraints teacher(s) no two consecutive days (suggested by Khelifi Fouad Mohssen).

I hope you will like the new constraint max tags per day from set.

Add tag AT to all activities, and subactivities preferred time slots for AT, split index 1, 2, 3 early. Only 3 constraints.

Acum trebuie sa ma culc; poate maine mai tarziu ma voi uita pe fisierul dvs.

Pentru a obliga un profesor sa aiba activitati in niste sloturi, va rog folositi activities occupy min time slots from selection. Selectati toate activitatile profesorului GM, selectati cu X (rosu) sloturile necesare, si min ocupate.

Possible solutions:

1) Subactivities preferred time slots. If teacher T has math for students S 5 times per week, constrain the split indexes 1, 2, and 3 to early; in the constraint specify T and S.

2) Activities occupy max time slots from selection (but it is difficult to add so many constraints and it is worse in speed than the first solution).

In versiunile recente FET, aveti o constrangere numita teacher(s)/students (set) max hours daily in interval, cu ajutorul careia puteti face ca, sa zicem, intre [11 si 14) profesorul sa lucreze maximum 2 ore, lasand una libera. Dar nu cred ca asta doriti.

Adaugati o activitate A(profesor, fara studenti, disciplina), divizata in 5, fiecare din cele 5 dureaza 1 ora, min 1 zile intre (sub)activitati, 100%. Apoi timpi preferati ai activitatilor.

In FET, if you don't specify a constraint, it is not applied. You need to add constraints students (set) max 0 gaps per week and maybe also constraints students (set) begin early max 0 beginnings at second hour.

I don't know exactly for which teacher it crashes.

To see the syntax, add this constraint in FET interface and save the fet file.

Now you have wrong teacher in constraints teacher max afternoons per week.
