The Catalan translator is lost for a long time. If you want, I'll make you the official Catalan translator. I suggest you to start from zero, with a new translation.

ok, if I got it right, I have to download this program called qt, open the file called not-translated, and then I'll see some fields to translate. is this right? I haven't seen anything yet because this qt program is taking ages to download. it's really really slow, so I'm only talking theoretically. As soon as I download and install it, I'll let you know if I have problems or doubts.

Yes, install Qt, rename fet_untranslated.ts to fet_ca.ts, set the language, then translate.

Yes, Qt is a large file.

To update, you can send your file to me, or you can use lupdate on the sources (unpack the tar.bz2, copy your fet_ca.ts over the old one, enter src/interface/ and type "lupdate interface.pro"). Better to keep a backup if you use lupdate. Also, I advise you to make backups on a CD or on another computer.

don't worry about the backups. I save the file in 3 different places (laptop, pen drive and email account LOL).
I was wondering if the FAQ were already translated. If they were, I could do a revision, but then I wouldn't have to type everything again. Those are more than 100 entries, hehehe. being lazy again

There is the Catalan translation of the manual, but I think not the FAQ.

In the newer snapshots, I split the FAQ into more manageable sections, so please do not translate the FAQ as a whole, but in sections. Anyway, I advise you to not translate the FAQ, at least leave it the last, also the instructions and tips, and if you still can translate after you finished all the other fields, you can do that also.
