Title: Will FET work for me?
Post by: benbaehr on June 27, 2013, 04:44:53 AM
I direct a summer camp, and I would like to use FET to schedule activity periods. I would need to schedule campers individually, not in groups. Also, we have 3 activity periods, so some activity periods will be offered more than once per day, so campers can be assigned to one period or another (or one of 3 times the activity is offered). Will I be able to use FET to help me do this? It did not seem straightforward. Thanks.

This should be possible. Define students as years, or as groups in a year, or as subgroups in a group.

If each student is assigned to specific activities, it should be possible.

Thanks. So if an activity is offered more than once, do I need to assign the camper to one of the activities, or can FET choose one that works for me?

You have a list of activities, and each activity has a list of students for it. So FET cannot directly choose activities for students. You may however try with assigning activities to FET rooms = real students. (and make a list of real students = FET rooms.)
