Title: not enough slots for home rooms constraints
Post by: njamasi on November 05, 2013, 09:47:41 AM
Hello Guys, Thanks a lot for your support so far I am doing very well with everything I asked you yesterday except for one thing which has rised, I have set the activities to take place in a different room (LH 1 and LH2) I want the activities to take place in room LH2 from 1630 - 1830 hours. But when i do so i get the following message "Room LH 1 has not enough slots for home rooms constraints (requested 20, available 15) - please correct that"

Thanks in advance.

It is normal, because you requested activities with students set DDP 2 (20 hours) to take place in LH 1 (which has 15 hours free).

PS: How did you manage to make subject names on multiple lines? You modified the .fet XML by hand?

the solution depend a bit on the other data you want to enter.
one solution is to give them home roomS LH1 and LH2.
an other solution is to select (at least) 5 activities and give them an other space constraint (in "hardest" case directly by selection 5 activities directly and set them an activity preferd room constraint, but using one of the other more indirectly room constraints is also possible. i can't give you better advice without knowing much more about your school(-data))

That exactly what i want, i want the 15 hours to be held at LH 1 and the rest  5 hours (1 last hour of each day Mon-Fri) to be held at LH 2.

Then instead of constraint students set home room LH 1 add constraint students set home roomS LH 1 and LH 2.
