Title: Maximum number of hours per week
Post by: Robert C on February 19, 2014, 08:13:07 AM
Hello, I have just started using FET and I have a question. In stead of giving the teachers a maximum number of hours per day to teach, we give the teachers a maximum number of per week.

How do I create that constraint?

Thank you

In FET, the exact number of hours per week is entered by the user, through the activities of that teacher. FET generates a weekly schedule, with max days per "week" = 35.

Where is it entered? Does it need to be typed directly into the data file?

I have looked and I cannot find it, before posting this I did a forum search on the word "week."

When you enter the activities of that teacher, the number of hours per week = sum of duration of the activities for that teacher.

"sum of duration of the activities for that teacher" that is not in my version.

Is that the same as Data > Time Constraints > Teachers > "A teacher works in an hourly interval max days per week"

I am using Version: 5.19.0 (January 2013) in OSX in English

No. When you enter 5 activities, each with duration 1, the teacher will have 5 hours per week.
