Post by: mlzsgandhidham on June 06, 2014, 06:43:03 AM
Dear Sir,

I am trying to generate the timetable but not able to do so.. for an example i tried a teacher's activity with 26 durations in 5 splits.
total classes are 4 and sub is math.. but it shows Activity with id=62 has no allowed slot - please correct that..
before it was showing class 5a,5b,6a,6b all classes in same day same activity and after few modifications generation is failed

kindly help into the matter

thx

It's impossible to help without your datafile.

You can also increase the number of hours per day. Then generate. Maybe it solves. If it solve: check the timetable and think about this: Why is it impossible to schedule if you haven't that additional hour? You will see that is impossible, because there are not enough time slots left. Now you must think a bit more detailed and solve the problem.

I have got the same problem.
I have a table that has 6 periods of class which one of them is for breaking.
So I have the following situation:
- 1 period (activity 1)
- 2 period (activity 1)
- 3 period (activity 1)
- break time (here is the problem)
- 4 period (activity 1)
- 5 period
- 6 period
How do i manipulate a class that have an activity that repeats 4 times consecutively, excluding this constraint time (break)?

Indeed, an activity cannot spread over a break.

Solution 1: remove the break and decrease the number of hours per day with 1.

Solution 2: add an activity split into two, first with duration 3, second with duration 1, without min days between activities constraints for them, with constraint two activities consecutive for them.

I did not understand your last phrase in solution 2.
How can i add a constraint with 2 activities in consecutive mode?

There is a time constraint for activities: two activities consecutive. See the menu for time constraints for activities.
