Title: Hourly interval min days per week
Post by: Wizard on October 09, 2015, 03:36:14 PM
Hi!
I know there is an option for setting an hourly interval maximum days per week. Can a similar thing be achieved with minimum days? I would like all teachers to teach at least once or twice every week in the last hour.

In this particular case (last hour), you can use the constraint activities occupy max time slots from selection.

I'm really sorry, I don't understand what I should do. Is this from "a set of activities occupies max times slots from selection"? What should I do next?

Please read the constraint's help and come back here if you still don't understand.

Liviu, I think that this option is going to result in AT MOST and not AT LEAST two (for example) lessons at the last hours... I had a similar problem and I used this option for generating a timetable with AT MOST three lessons at the first hours for a teacher. Or maybe... I didn't understand something correctly...

Use an inverse: say teacher T has 20 hours in a week with 5 days and 6 hours per day. You want T to have at least 2 activities in the last hour (hour 6). Then add a constraint with all activities of this teacher, selected slots = all but last hours (25 slots), maximum occupied = 20-2 = 18. I hope I am not mistaking.
