Title: Remote Desktop Support for Windows
Post by: Bobby Wise on December 16, 2015, 08:28:27 AM
I have been using TightVNC to support my schools but some of them find it difficult to setup especially if they are behind a router and port forwarding has to be enabled.

Does anyone know of any other software that may be easier to setup.

I have also tried Teamviewer and AMMYY but they both have limits to the free access. Teamviewer for instance will only give you 5 minutes if you have used the software to often.

Under GNU/Linux I see I have "Remmina Remote Desktop Client", but I never used it.

I'll give a try thanks.

The thing is it must be very easy to install and in my case I need it to run under windows.

Hmm, I see it seems they do not provide a Windows executable, and it seems difficult to make one.

Hello Liviu,

Have you ever considered developing software similar to this?

No, until now. I think it is a complex program and it needs more developers from different domains.

Also, there are available some free tools, so if I decide to write one it might be redundant.

Maybe you can write here how software like these operate. I never used one.
