I would appreciate to have a feature to assign rooms to "all other" activities.
One possibility I can imagine:
An option "recursive": If I enter home rooms for a year (or group) and check the recursive checkbox, then these home rooms are also valid for the corresponding groups (or subgroups) - if not specified otherwise (lowest priority - assign these rooms at the end).
Second possibility:
An option to enter home rooms for all other activities: If an activity has no room assigned (due to other conditions), it will get one of these rooms (lowest priority - assign these rooms at the end).
i fear that features might complicate it to much.
if you didn't add room constraints at all so far (or only a few special ones), it sound like an nice idea.
currently you need to add an activity tag to all activities and add a room constraint for it.
or select teacher, students or subjects. (select the low number of that 3) and add room constraints for that.
in normal case that is also not needed in my opinion, because there are normaly not many rooms left.
that rooms will be very to care about by activity tags.
in my opnion such a feature is even pretty dangarous, since all rooms get rooms, so you won't be able anymore to find room bugs quick by using the rooms statistics.
so you need to check every single activity then instead of just doing a quick view into the statistics. so a very slow and "dangourses" work to check for room bugs.

That's what I have done. So I stick to that solution.

That's just the problem: If I deactivate the room restriction with the activity tag, the room statistics do not show all the activities that have no room. I have to check in the timetables manually that all activities have a room.
A warning for activities with no room restriction would be useful.
So, are you saying that the Activities rooms statistics facility does not work correctly? Could you send your input file? (here or to me and Volker if it is private.)
Thank you for the bug report! I consider all space constraints, even those inactive, which is wrong. I'll correct it right away, but the new version will wait a bit longer.
