Can you set up the day(s) so that the timings are different?
What I am trying to do is have Wednesday afternoon off school. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday have the same timings (8 lessons), but Wednesday is different for different sections of the school. (KS3 have 4 lessons, KS4 have 5 lessons, KS5 have all 8 lessons)

I am not sure I understand correctly.
If you just want to forbid the later hours on Wednesday, you have constraint break. Or not available constraints for students.
Each activity must have a fixed duration. But you might have for instance activities with duration 1.5 hours and 1 hour if you consider a real half hour = a FET hour and make durations 3 or 2.

I think I have done it now with different breaks for different years.
First time using FET and (fingers crossed!!) it seems pretty good!
