Title: uniform distribution of activity in the week OPTION
Post by: paola on September 27, 2016, 05:15:16 PM
Hi, i would like to know suggestions on the use of the option:
"uniform distribution of activity in the week"
does it work fine?
or is better not to use it at all, just better define the activities by changing the number of days among attivites?
thank you in advance

I tried the distribute automatically activities over the week on some of my files and it worked well. You can try to work with it. I am not sure - I did not have reports from users on this facility.

I like it more than the default way of adding activities, but please try to start with lower values for the weights.

thank you ! and, if i want to use the uniform distribution, should i define the activity (and time between activies) in a different way ? or i use the same settings (example: minimum 1 day, 95% weigth).

I recommend a progressive approach. If the timetable is still solvable, raise the weights.

If you really need minimum 1 day between each subactivities, add 100% min 1 days. But this may be too strong and the timetable impossible.

hi,
how can i better distribute the time schedule of the teachers in such a way that i avoid that a few teachers work everyday in the last part of the day (we have 5 hours per day, 6 days per week. i would like every teacher to work more uniformily, not everyday in the 4th and 5th hour of the day....)
I calculate that on average every teacher should work 3 or 4 days per week....
thank you in advance

for example by time constraint -> teachers -> works in an hourly intervall max -> 4th - last hour -> max 4 (or 3) times.
