Title: Spacing between subactivities
Post by: ChicagoPianoTuner on May 03, 2017, 03:23:51 PM
My school has a ten-day week. I have an activity split into 5 subactivities, A1, A2, A3, A4, and A5. A1 has duration 2, all others have duration 1. I want there to be at least a one-day gap between A1 and all of the other subactivities. I know I can do this by making 4 individual "min days between activities" constraint (one for A1 and A2, one for A1 and A3, etc.) and setting min days to 2, however, I have several such activities (B1-B5, C1-C5, etc.) and it would be time-consuming to set the criteria for each one.

Is there a faster way?

If I understood correctly, you can do this easily when entering the activity data. So, choose min days = 2, weight = 100%. Is this what you need?

no, because he don't want 2 days between the activities with duration 1.

hmmm... i can't see an easy solution at the moment...

OK, I didn't think there was an easy way. I'll do them individually then. Thanks!
