Title: help excel
Post by: claudiaN on June 30, 2011, 06:08:52 PM
 :) Hallo
I've found FET last year, when I was trying to complete the timetable for my school.
I spent some time to understand all the function that could be useful for me... a lot of time to improve them...and  gret time to generate different timetable to have more choice.
The results were satisfying...even if I had to do some manual modification, because I have dissatisfied colleague....
I think that FET is simple in  the planning, but really powerful! Fortunately my school isn't big and hasn't too much difficult requests......so I use FET under his possibilities.
Just one things I want to resolve this year (last year I couldn't) to view fet-results on excel. it would be very useful.
Could you explain me, how to do??
Thank you

About the Excel import, other users might give better ideas. There is a link here on the forum about that: http://lalescu.ro/liviu/fet/forum/index.php?topic=504.0 (you may want to see also: http://sites.google.com/site/ilpassodellupo/importa ).

About the manual modification of timetables after generating them with FET: I do not like that. Could you tell me what constraints would you like to add and cannot be expressed in FET? The recommended approach (by me and Volker, at least) is to express everything in FET constraints, so that the final timetable does not need to be modified. Do you use a recent FET version, which has the largest palette of constraints?
