Hello, I am getting close to a usable timetable, a really useful feature now would be to be able to "lock" the activities that are well-timetabled and then just change the rest. I can see a feature to lock whole days or the whole timetable. is there a way to lock activities one by one?

You can lock or unlock in the timetable view dialogs (in time horizontal you can do that easier, in days horizontal you can only toggle lock/unlock).
Or you can edit the constraints activities preferred starting time, but this is tedious.
But I would recommend you to leave FET the entire freedom to place the activities, because it will do it better than humans.
