I want to limit teachers to teach a max 3 out of 4 last periods of the week.
A teacher should not teach Monday to Thursday's last period, but can have any one of the 4 days' last period off.
E.g. they can teach Monday, Tuesday, Thursday period 9 and not Wednesday or Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, but not Tuesday.
Is there any way to do it for a specific set of teachers?
Yes, it is possible easily.
1) If you have only 4 days per week in total, use the constraint teacher(s) interval max days per week. Interval 9 to end of day, max days per week = 3.
If you have 5 or more days per week, or as an alternative (but (1) is preferred if you can apply it):
2) A constraint activities occupy max time slots from selection for each teacher, activities = all the activities of that teacher, selected slots = last slot of each day of Monday to Thursday (4 slots selected in total), max occupied = 3.

We have 5 working days in total. Only Monday to Thursday has 9 periods (for some students), others have 8 periods.
All teachers available to teach during period 9 (I have a list of about 10 teachers) should only teach 3 out of 4 of the available times. We have a 5 day week, but day 5 only has 7 periods, not 9 like Monday to Thursday.
Maybe I can use step 1 you've shown as I have marked period 8 and 9 on day 5 as a break.
Exactly where is the option I should click? I just want to limit period 9, no other period.

Indeed, you are right.
You could add the constraint for all the teachers, since it is easier to input it. The teachers who don't teach during the 9th period will be ignored by the constraint.
