Title: Interpretation of conflicts & action
Post by: crow on May 13, 2020, 04:27:51 PM
Hi Liviu

I am still at it!
I am now into constraints and the interpretation of it.

Would you please be so kind and comment on the following:

Time constraint min days between activities broken: activity with id=494 (T:D. Stephens, S:Eng, AT: , St:10 B) conflicts with
activity with id=493 (T:D. Stephens, S:Eng, AT: , St:10 B), being 1 days too close, on days Day1 and Day1,
conflicts factor increase=0.95. The activities are placed consecutively in the timetable, because you selected
this option in case the activities are in the same day

Time constraint min days between activities broken: activity with id=495 (T:D. Stephens, S:Eng, AT: , St:10 B) conflicts with
activity with id=491 (T:D. Stephens, S:Eng, AT: , St:10 B), being 1 days too close, on days Day 5 and Day 5,
conflicts factor increase=0.95. The activities are placed consecutively in the timetable, because you selected this option
in case the activities are in the same day.

And suggest a probable course of action in these cases.

Thanks.

Hello, crow,

This is a soft conflict of a constraint with weight <100.0%. If you want to make it always satisfied, make it with 100% weight. Go to the all time constraints dialog, or the min days between activities constraints (in this second dialog, you have a button to change at once all constraints), or to the Advanced->Spread activities over the week and make 100% there as needed.
