Title: 1 teacher can give a maximum of 5 classes every day
Post by: supervision on September 30, 2020, 02:55:46 PM
Hello, wishing everyone is well in the midst of this world situation. First, I appreciate the effort of the people who have created this software, I know how much work it means, even maintaining it and supporting it as they do.
Excuse my English as it is not my native language !!!
I need help with the schedule of the school where I work, I describe below what happens.
I have a schedule from Monday to Friday, each day each group has 7 classes with different teachers. But I have a restriction that I have not been able to solve, 1 teacher can give a maximum of 5 classes every day.
I read the manual and saw that the restriction of minimum holes per day (which I think could help me) is not implemented.
Any ideas to solve this restriction?

It's depending on your dataset.

In normal case it is the best to do a good activitiy planning. So place as less different teachers into a class as possible.

The second variant is do check for other tricks.

The correct trick is to set tags to each activity and use constraint teacher max tags per day. That is what you ask for, but is is a bit wokr to add the data.

So you might check for better tricks. Maybe the class have got for example 5 times activities with duration 2. If you set a min day constraint to them with 100%, then you will automaticly reduce the max number of different teachers per day by 1.

I am not sure I understand correctly. Why can't you use the constraint teacher max hours daily?

Hello, thanks for the answers and the help, I made the change and it worked correctly as explained by Liviu Lalescu, using the restriction of maximum teacher hours per day.
