I'm able to add an activities same day constraint but it takes a long time to go through every activity and add this. Is there a quicker (global) option?
i.e. Math classes happen 9 out of 10 days, 3 sections each (Math A, Math B, Math C). I want to have all three sections on the same day and not split between days.
Thanks for any tips you can share!
Matthew
Hello,
There is no such automatic option. I am not sure I understand correctly, but if you mean to add automatically such constraints for some activities based on their subject+students with a single click, it should be possible. I do not see the necessity of adding such an option for the official FET, but I could help you with a customized version.
OK thanks. Here is an example of what I mean:

I would think this might be a common need?
Thanks for the program - I've been using it for years now!
I understand.
An interesting trick for you would be to add a dummy teacher T to all the 9 activities and a constraint to him, max 3 days per week (and maybe min 3?).
I need a way to distinguish the constraints/activities we need to add. An automatic way, so that we can add them with a single click. Maybe you could send me your input file.
I would propose you a custom version for now and see the impact it has. I still consider it is an unusual feature.
Thank you for the appreciation! You could help by spreading the word about it and benevolently donating, if possible.
