here is the fet file. hope it helps. You will suffer a dismay when you see how fast the timetable is generated. Teacher meetings are not included.

Thank you! I added it as spanish school sample.

I was wondering why you don't care about teachers' gaps, but I saw that it is impossible with max gaps 5 per week, so probably you must allow gaps.

You should have raised the weight of all min n days constraints to 100%, it solves that way also.

There is something that you didn't understand correctly: you don't need to put the year in FET like: 2008-2009. You should put the years like: 1, 2, 3, 4 (or: Form1, Form2, Form3, Form4).

oh, I see, so it's not the school year, it's the form. and then, in groups, what would it be? A, B, C or 4A, 4B, 4C Or are those sub-groups? or maybe subgroups are when I split the class into two, and half are doing maths and half are doing english?

It is good to define groups as 4A, 4B, 4C. Subgroups appear if you split a group, yes, for optional subjects or split boys/girls or split Eng/Fra. Please try to divide a year automatically and see what you get.
