Hi!
We need to create a timetible, but we have 4 different framework for different groups, and teachers work in more than one group.
1° group timetable:
1 lesson: 8:30-9:25
2 lesson: 9:25-10:20
3 lesson: 10:20-11:15
Break: 11:15-11:45
4 lesson: 11:45-12:40
5 lesson: 12:40-13:35
6 lesson: 13:35-14:30
2° group timetable:
1 lesson: 8:00-8:55
2 lesson: 8:55-9:50
3 lesson: 9:50-10:45
Break: 10:45-11:15
4 lesson: 11:15-12:10
5 lesson: 12:10-13:05
6 lesson: 13:05-14:00
3° group timetable:
1 lesson: 8:10-9:05
2 lesson: 9:05-10:00
3 lesson: 10:00-10:55
Break: 10:55-11:25
4 lesson: 11:25-12:20
5 lesson: 12:20-13:15
6 lesson: 13:15-14:10
4° group timetable:
1 lesson: 8:10-9:05
2 lesson: 9:05-10:00
3 lesson: 10:00-10:55
4 lesson: 10:55-11:50
Break: 11:50-12:20
5 lesson: 12:20-13:15
6 lesson: 13:15-14:10
7 lesson: 14:10-15:05 (this last lesson only 3 times for week)
Is it any way to create a timetable using FET?
Thanks!
Hello, and welcome to the forum!
It might be possible. Maybe you could show us last year's timetables as pdf-s, to see exactly.
Ideas:
1) Make a FET hour = 5 real time minutes. The activities will have a duration of 11 FET hours and preferred times as needed.
2) Create the times and forbid teacher activities to overlap by a) many constraints of type activities occupy max time slots from selection or b) a customization.
Can I send you last year timetable by email?
If I try doing 1 FET hour= real 5 minutes, how is it works? I do not understand, can you send me an example? And which constraints should i use to do not overlap teacher's hours?
Sorry I am new with FET!
OK, email received. I tried variant (1) with 5 minutes FET hours. I attach a very easy example, see the time constraints I added and the other data.
I was a bit lazy to name all the FET hours of the day, they go 5 minutes each.
Thank you very much!!
Hi guys,
A new FET-user here. I am having a similar issue. We are using two different frameworks simultaneously. Most teachers work in both groups.
Group 1
1. lesson: 8h15-9h05
2. lesson: 9h05-9h55
break: 9h55-10h10
3. lesson: 10h10-11h00
4. lesson: 11h00-11h50
break: 11h50-12h40
5. lesson: 12h40-13h30
6. lesson: 13h30-14h20
break: 14h20-14h35
7. lesson: 14h35-15h25
8. lesson: 15h25-16h15
Group 2
1. lesson: 8h15-9h05
2. lesson: 9h05-9h55
3. lesson: 9h55-10h45
break: 10h45-11h00
4. lesson: 11h00-11h50
5. lesson: 11h50-12h40
break: 12h40-13h30
6. lesson: 13h30-14h20
7. lesson: 14h20-15h10
8. lesson: 15h10-16h00
How do I go about it? Is it, considering the breaks, useful to create FET-hours from 5 real minutes each, as described above? Or is another division more workable? Or is there another way to solve this issue?
Many thanks!
Hello, and welcome!
As for the solutions, they are above. Either 5 minutes "FET hours", which I think will work OK, or a customization (the solution with adding a lot of constraints activities occupy max time slots from selection is difficult to add as a user).
Edited to add: The customization would mean keeping a real hour = a FET hour and maintaining a simpler to use/view timetable (the number of hours per day will be low). Also, the 5 minutes "FET hours" might be slower (I am not sure, and not sure how much slower).
Did you see my attached file above?
Hey! Many thanks for the help! I am going for the first option (the 5 minutes FET-hours) since I think it's the workable solution.
I initially read past the attached file, but have downloaded the file. It sheds some light on how to implement the solution.
Hello sir
What is meant by this paragraph
1) Make a FET hour = 5 real time minutes. The activities will have a duration of 11 FET hours and preferred times as needed.
Hello, Mr. TAHIR,
I don't know how to explain more detailed.
