Hello,

Thank you for the bug report! It is only for activities begin students/teachers day. I corrected and I will release the new version today or tomorrow, I hope.

Hi liviu

The bug also appears when we use
activities begin students/teachers day constraint.

Hi, Youssef,

I don't understand, it is exactly what I said.

But anyway, could you please check that the bug is solved in the snapshot FET-6.6.0-snap? Please let me know as soon as possible, since I hope to release on Monday (tomorrow) afternoon.

I meant activities to end student and teacher day, I mistyped the post

I just checked, everything OK. I added constraints activities end students' day and activities end teachers' day and removed the two subjects - the 2 constraints were removed.

Could you please send me the FET-6.6.0-snapshot .fet data file with an indication on how to replicate the bug?

I received the screenshot on Facebook. My answer:

It's OK. You just don't have any activity with this subject. This is a feature, not a bug. The bug was with "begin students/teachers day".

If you remove this subject, the constraint will be removed.

Ok, i understand,

for the test, I tested 3 files on 2 computers, on version 6.5.7 and on the new version, with the same random seeds, the schedules are identical, the solving times are the same, the random seeds after are the same.

i also test the new constraint (min hours in the afternoon),it works and give a good results

Hi, I can't run the fet-6.28.1-gnu-linux-executable.tar.bz2 version for linux. After decompressing this file, files appear whose structure is very different from the previous versions

Hello,

Thank you for the interest!

I just downloaded fet-6.28.1-gnu-linux-executable.tar.bz2 from the Download section of the FET homepage, moved it to an empty directory, and unpacked it with "tar -jxvf fet-6.28.1-gnu-linux-executable.tar.bz2". It seems OK, exactly like the previous versions.

Did you also have problems with 6.28.0, released yesterday? Or you skipped it? It can be downloaded for now from https://lalescu.ro/liviu/fet/download/gnu-linux-executables/ (I will move it to old in a week).

With 6.28.0 it was fine

With what program do you unpack the archive? Could you please also verify the SHA256 sum for the gle.tar.bz2 to be the same as on the Download page? Could you please show me a screenshot when you unpack?

I send you a screenshot to see the difference in file structure between 6.28.1 and 6.27.0 version. The program I've been using for decompressing files for the past few years is xarchiver

Sorry, but you wrote an empty post above.

I saw your screenshots. Indeed, I used a slightly different method this time:

Instead of creating the archive with "tar -cvvjf fet-6.28.1.tar.bz2 fet-6.28.1/" and renaming the archive to "fet-6.28.1-gnu-linux-executable.tar.bz2" after that, I did "tar -cvvjf fet-6.28.1-gnu-linux-executable.tar.bz2 fet-6.28.1/" (I did this for the first time). But should be OK.

You did not confirm me that the SHA256 sum is OK.

Could you please offer me a Google Remote Desktop to your computer? Email me in this case, fet4 AT lalescu DOT ro.

I will pack again the file. It must be a bug of tar.

I have put a file created in the old way. Thank you for your report!

Please let me know as soon as possible if it works OK now. We could file a bug report to the tar archiver, or maybe I am wrong and it is a desired behavior.

You can get it from the Download page.

I got a first email from geokom that even the second variant does not work, so I reverted to the original file.

It was a false alarm. The original file works.
