Title: is it an bug error? or my mistake?
Post by: poetasandaluces on July 24, 2023, 10:33:17 AM
Try to divide 16 sessions in 4 days, 4 hours per day. The fet says : there is no slot. The thing is there aren't any other activities provided in that particular group. However, if I do it in groups of 8, it works. Is there any limitation in the total number of hours we can divide?

I sadly don't understand what you have done. Can you please explain it more detailed?

Of course there is no free slot available for activity 3.
That dataset is impossible, because:
the teacher is not available in the 4th hour each day.
So in the morning are only 3 hours available and in the afternoon are also 3 hours available;
But your activity 3 has got duration 4.
So there is no place for that activity.

Wouldn't it be enough if I untick the 'consecutive' option?

No. the 'consecutive flag' refers to other subactivities of that activity. The duration of a single subactivity will never split.
So in your case you have got only one activity with 5 subactivities.

Or in other words: The 'consecutive flag' refers to the min n day constraint. And that constraint refers to the subactivities. The duarton of the subactivities will be always consecutive.
