Good afternoon,
I am trying to add a time+day constrain to four elective subjects but I have encountered an issue that I don't know how to solve. In a school year (let's say B1) students can choose several elective subjects. Among them they have to choose one out of these electives:
- German (4h)
- Technology (4h)
- ICT + Business (4h)
The problem is that the third option is a combination of two subjects with two different teachers, so it is not convinient to merge them into one single subject unless there is a way to asign 2h hours for each different teacher of the subjects. When keeping the two elective subjects independently I can't add the time constraint with the other two electives (they must all be scheduled at the same time) because the three of them don't have the same number of sesions a week.
I hope I have been clear enough about my problem. Could anybody enlighten me?
Thanks in advance for all the help I can find.
Best regards,
Helena
there are at least 3 variants how to do it:
1. add the same startig time for each subactivity. So uncheck the "add multible contraints" if you add the same starting time constraint and do it for each subactivity.
2. add the 3rd example as a SINGLE activity. Just modify a few subactivities and give them the other subject. Then you can add the same starting time constraints also with flag "add multible constraints".
3. just use the "correct" group/subgroup. Have a look at example 2 from the manual:
https://www.timetabling.de/manual/FET-manual.en.html#id_12
Because if you do it that way, then the activities will be automaticly at the same time if the timetable of the students is 100% filled. No need to add same starting time constraints at all. It will be automatically at the same time.
