Good morning
I have a few tricky scenarios:
a. I have a subject package of Business / Art / Physical SCience with 3 teachers. These lessons must happen in the same slot. The teachers are set for these subjects. Do I enter the subject as Bus/Art/Phys Sci? If I do, how do I enter the staff? As two sep staff or must I them as Staff1/Staff2?
b. When I put in the subject activities - there are 6 lessons for Maths for example. Where do I put the 6. We have 5 days, and they can have 1 double. How do I specify this. I am finding it hard to understand your instructions.
Hello!
a1) The easiest way (if you don't have any space constraints) is to add an activity with the subject Bus_Art_PhySc, students set(s) the group(s) that attend these courses, and in the field Teacher, you can add all these three teachers (BusTeacher+ArtTeacher+PhyScTeacher0
a2) If you have space constraints you should create the respective subgroups of your group. For example, if your groups is GroupG, your subgroups could be SubgroupG1, SubgroupG2, SubgroupG3. Then add each one of the activities:
Activity1 = Teacher1+Bus+SubgroupG1
Activity2 = Teacher2+Art+SubgroupG2
Activity3 = Teacher3+PhySc+SubgroupG3.
Then add a constraint "a set of activities occupies max slots from selection". Add these three activities. If the duration of each one of them is 1, and split = 1, then select all times slots and set max slots = 1.
b1) If you need the Maths activities to be split in (2+1+1+1+1) hours (the 2 hours are continuously here), you add the activities with split = 5 and, duration of the 1st subactivity = 2. The other subactivities have by default duration 1. You can also set min days = 1, weight 100%.
b2) If you need the Maths activities to be split in ([1+1]+1+1+1+1) ([1+1] means that these activities might not be continuous, you add two activities. The first activity with split = 5 and duration of each one of the subactivities = 1. You can also set min days = 1, weight 100%. The second activity is similar but with split = 1.
Vangelis.
Thank you, Vangelis,
a2) Why complicate? Just a constraint activities same starting time (not activities occupy max time slots from selection).

You are right! :D
