Good morning, I have three school buildings where we need to run a one-hour pre-school program every day of the week. In each building, 3-4 teachers are available for a total of about 20 hours. How can I tell FET to assign only 6 of the 20 hours to each building?

Unfortunately, there is no constraint to limit the number of hours in a building/room. There are the constraints activities occupy max time slots from selection and activities max simultaneous in selected time slots.
I need to allocate 6 hours for each of the three buildings. For each building, I have 20 hours available from 3-4 teachers. I'd like to understand if there is a way for FET to choose the simplest solution to achieve a balanced timetable.
Before thinking about new problem, you need to fix your current data set. It is not solve able at the moment.
From a pedagogic and also from a teachers view it isn't clever to randomly select a teacher. I don't know your school, but it sounds like it is clever to choose for example the class teacher for this task. So he knows the pupils already and he will be also at the correct building already. So just choose the students and teachers, add an activity for them and maybe also add a room constraint for them. Then fet can place that activity somewhere.
You cannot input 20 activities and let FET assign only 6. You need to choose the exact 6 activities.
To assign activities (students, subject) to teachers and time slots, you could use the Block planning mode, but I think it won't work in your case.

It was about supervising the students while they waited for the lessons to begin. There were only a few students from different classes. However, these hours are no longer needed now. Thank you for your availability.
ah... Ok. For planning the supervision I use TiTiTo. You must be done manually there, but in normal case it is very easy, since there are so many possible variants.
