Dear All,
Thank you for this great piece of software, it is helping me a lot to create timetable for my department. I have found that running fet-cl may be much quicker than fet and also can be run in a Linux screen without opening X-window. My problem is that once I have generated the html solution I may need to work in FET to block all activities I like and try a different solution for the others. How can I get this? Apparently I can only import csv (even though I have never tried) but not html. If instead I generate the timetable with FET I can block whatever I like easily.
Thank you and best regards,
Corrado
Hello, Corrado,
Thank you for the appreciation!
There is a locked fet file in the results. You can open it and unlock some activities and then regenerate.
Many thanks, really useful!!

Did you used both times the same seed? If you forgot to care about the seed, then it was just luck that fet-cl was faster. Next time fet gui will be faster.
In normal case you won't notice a difference between the speed of fet and fet-cl. You might notice a (small) difference in very special cases. (for example if you open fet-gui 100 times instead of opening it only one time an run multiple at once. Or if your dataset exactly fills the cache size if you use fet-cl and fet gui need a bit more space.
But in normal case you won't notice a difference. Please try again, but use the same seed in fet and fet-cl.
Thanks for the explanation. Anyway, it is useful to run in background in Linux.
Regards,
