Title: Settings - groups, subgroups - printing
Post by: ziepa on December 03, 2024, 11:48:03 AM
Hi,

my name is Paul from Poland.

Is there any way in the settings or in the printing settings so that each group, subgroup has a fixed place during the day (like it's own unvisible column), so if some group doesn't have any activities then the program doesn't center the groups (while printing) just leaves a free space between other gropus?

Thanks
Paul

Hello, Paul,

Welcome to the forum! I am Liviu from Romania.

First of all, you locked this topic, I think by mistake. I unlocked it, so that everybody can answer.

Unfortunately, there is no such setting. Nobody until now needed such a feature. Maybe a custom version for you could do this. Maybe you have some screenshot or document to show us your exact situation.

Hey,

thanks for such an express answer.

Attached is a scrrenshot of what I mean. (of course it's not from fet)

If groups 1, 2 and 5 do not have activities then the schedule is blank at the beginning of the day.
At the end of the day, groups 3, 4 and 5 have no activities so their "column" is also blank.

So each group has its own place and they are not centered.

You are welcome!

Unfortunately, we did not design such a nice output of the timetables. This design is probably fixed, not variable in size as in FET.

A customization might be possible, so we will output an empty cell if a students set is missing. I cannot envision such a feature for the official FET for now, but it may be possible.

But the timetable would not look so nice as your picture. The empty or filled columns will not be fixed in width.

Is it possible to make such a customization?

And can i do it myself (if i manage) or do you have to do it?

It is possible, and probably I would need to do it myself. However, I would like to tell you that this project is free software, and it highly needs financial support, so it would be great if you could help with this.

Please send me your file corresponding to your screenshot above, so I can see exactly for what students sets you mean to customize.

Also, there will only be spaces in the HTML output, and two vertical dashed-style lines. Should I force say 5 spaces between them?
