Filtring by subject or teacher

Hmm... I am not sure I understand. Filter by subject I understand, teachers who teach this subject (also for students set and activity tag). But for filter teachers I don't understand.

Please explain, I am interested to maybe make this.

For students not available time horizontal do you have a filter request?

I made this in the teachers/students not available times horizontal (on my hard disk, to be released soon). The filter is as you suggested, and also has a check box for Show related students.

Thank you for the suggestion!

That's how I imagined it.

Hmm... I prefer to filter by (teacher, students set, subject, activity tag), if in the list of activities of that teacher there is at least an activity with this filter. I did this and it is nice.

I don't like to use qualified subjects for filter.

Thank you, brother Liviu. It's just a suggestion.
I'm happy that you're going to make it .

Thank you, dear GUEFFAZ! :)

The new version will be released soon, maybe even later today, or tomorrow.

Quote from: Liviu Lalescu on February 24, 2025, 08:27:42 AMI don't like to use qualified subjects for filter.

The problem with that is, that it is only nice if the teacher have qualified subjects only. But it is bad if he has other subjects.

So the only other variant that might be nice is:
As soon as one filter is selected, then FET needs to check all activities with that filter show only "possible/available" students, activity tags, ...
The only disadvantage of this is, that if you want to select other filter settings, then you maybe need a few steps more, since you can't select everything, so you must remove other filters first, before you can select the new item. The only variant to "fix" this might be a push button to remove all filters at once.

I just released the new version. Thank you for your suggestions!

Volker, I am not sure I understand your latest post, but I hope what I did is good.

I was referring to filters like in "Add activities preferred starting times".

All 4 filters are deselected first.
Now, if you select a teacher, then the available items of "subject" could be reduced to items/activities that are only available.
hmm... An other disadvantage is, that it will "work" only, if you have activities. So maybe it is better to revert my idea or have a checkbox only that enables/disables this feature.

Sorry, Volker, but I don't understand. Did you see the new feature? There is a check box, "Filter", in all teachers'/students' not available times.
