On Monday, 2 June 2025, FET-7.2.4 was released. From the ChangeLog:
- Added a new type of constraint for the Terms mode: teacher(s) max hours per term (suggested by mikkojoo).
FET-7.2.4 for macOS is now available.
Thank you, Darren! I noticed that you updated to Qt 6.9.1, but I would like to mention that my Windows 10 64bit version and the GNU/Linux versions use the previous Qt 6.9.0. I did this because:
1) Qt 6.9.1 released right after my release (and it is not yet announced on their blog). Also, it was announced for the 4th of June 2025, but today is the 2nd of June.
2) I was a bit afraid to wait until the Qt 6.9.1 release and use it immediately for the new FET version, before others use the new Qt and confirm it is correct.
But maybe with this new Qt-6.9.1 Yush's crash reports will disappear?
Also, Darren, and maybe other users, I would like to ask you an English advice: see the Download section of FET. I used the expression "please prefer" to make users use the Windows 10 64bit. This expression might be wrong. Let me know if you have better suggestions. Also, on the entire FET page, let me know if you have phrasing/English suggestions.
Edited to add: normal users cannot write here. If you want to write a suggestion as in the paragraph above, create a new topic on another suitable board or write me an email.
Hi Liviu! I just had a look at the download page, at the current phrasing ("this is the preferred..") is correct. I'll let you know if I notice any other things that might need an update. :)
Hello, Darren,
Thanks, but I meant in the Qt 5 Windows 7 sections (both of them, 64 and 32 bit), I wrote "please prefer" - is this correct?
I just installed Qt 6.9.1 on my GNU/Linux. The main thing is that color scheme option works now also on GNU/Linux (it was only the default with Qt 6.9.0). This is quite important, and I see that there are many other improvements in Qt 6.9.1, so I am thinking to release another FET version maybe near 7 June, if things are well.
As recommended by Alexandre (the pt_BR FET translator), I put shorter strings.
