Title: Support Request for Module-Based Timetable in FET
Post by: sunilsaini on July 06, 2025, 12:03:38 PM
Dear FET Support Team,

I am working on a university timetable where we follow a **module-based structure**, and I would like to know if FET can support this type of scheduling.

In our system:
- Each subject (called a "module") runs **continuously for a set number of hours** (e.g., 36,54 or 72 hours).
- Modules are scheduled **one at a time** for each student group — meaning, students should only attend one module at a time.
- Once one module is completed, the next one begins (in sequential order).
- Each module is taught by specific faculty members and may require specific rooms.

Could you please confirm:
1. Does FET support this kind of **consecutive, non-overlapping module scheduling**?
2. What constraints or configuration do you recommend using in FET to make this work?
3. Can we enforce that student groups do not have overlapping modules?

We really appreciate your help and guidance. FET is a powerful tool, and we want to ensure we are using it correctly for our special use case.

Thank you very much for your support!

Best regards,
Sunil Saini

Dear Sunil Saini,

Could you please show us an example of a previous timetable? I don't understand the problem.
