I have a scenario where students to go most of their classes in lines, for example, there are 6 lines with about 7 subjects in each line. They go to these classes 5 times a week. They have 30 lessons in total a week. Let's say that they have 3 other fixed periods, like test and assembly, it means that the timetable is filled to 28 lessons with 2 free lessons. They have 6 classes, but the way I've built it is by making one timetable for the entire group. This all works fine. Now I want to add the last two periods, for a subject called Skills, but the problem is that it is the same subject and the same teacher, split into 6 different groups. Does that make sense? In my opinion that is not possible.
Example:
Line1(5), Line2(5), Line3(5), Line4(5), Line5(5), Line6(5), Other(3), Skills(2)
Each line has 7 different teachers, the "Other" subjects are seen as a group with all teachers, Skills is one teacher for all 6 groups/classes.
By the way, I've created the lines using StElTo and then just created a subject in FET named Line 1 with all the required teachers.
Is there a way to solve this?

I hope Volker or other users know/answer better than me. I can only say that you can divide a year automatically by categories, or, if this way there are too many subgroups, use a FET subgroup = a real student and create groups from the FET interface.
Unfortunately, I don't understand the "line" concept.
I fear that will be impossible. You need 6 teachers for that OR
(But just to be sure: 6*5 + 3 + 2 = 35 and not 30.)
You might have a look if students can have this lesson on other days, while the other students have got free. But if you have a 5 days week, then 1 teacher is still too less, you still need at least 2 teachers in that case.

I though some more. It is depending on how you do it.
If you place 7 hours per day, then you need 6 teachers for "other" and 3 teachers for "skill". If you always need to place "skill" and "other" into the same 'line'.
You can think of "other" and "skill" like a line number 7.
skill1 - other1
skill2 - other2
skill3 - other3
other4 - skill1
other5 - skill2
other6 - skill3
I think you can even reduce it down to 2 and 3 if the groups of this line 7 are exactly the same as the groups in an other line, since in that case you can even swap with the other line.
Or you need to place 8 hours on 2 days. So you have 6 hours on 2 other days. So in fact this mean you have 2 more days to place "skill". But if I see it correct, then it will also reduce the number of skill teachers only from 6 to 4. But you might be able to reduce more by using trick I wrote above. hmm... If you can use the both tricks at the same time, then only 2 skill teacher are needed. I am not sure about using all 3 tricks. maybe then only 1 is needed?
