I have put a snapshot. From the ChangeLog:
- Converted the sources for compilation with CMake (suggested by Michael Towers, who also provided extensive instructions/help on how to do this; also Volker Dirr, assisted by ChatGPT and Gemini, suggested some important corrections). On this occasion, we merged the engine code for fet and fet-cl into a library (suggested by Volker Dirr, assisted by Gemini). Unfortunately, it is impossible to use QMake anymore, and now the minimum accepted Qt version is 6.10.
- Minor improvements.

Please test the FET-GUI and the FET-CL for problems, and let me know the results!
لا أفقه في البرمجة. لكن يبدو عمل جيد بالتوفيق
Merci, M. Gueffaz!
I added a new snapshot. I made it possible again to compile with QMake and on Windows 7 and 8.1.
Also, the new sources packaging is done ass tar.xz (suggested by Michael Towers).
The same download link as above.
Hi Liviu, I've just tested compiling the most recent version using CMake on macOS, and it looks like everything has worked (though I haven't done any very extensive testing).
Great, Darren, thank you! :)
Darren, the highly needed check on MacOS is: Please check if you can change the language in the FET interface.

Hi Volker, yes — after compilation, copying the .qm files to the usual location as a final step worked as before.
I just added a new snapshot, with minor improvements.
NOTE: The previous snapshot had written version "7.7.0", not "7.7.0-snapshot-11-jan-2026..." in the Help/About and inside. So, if you have an automatic check for updates on startup, when I'll make lalescu.ro/liviu/fet/crtversion/crtversion.txt=7.7.0, if you use that previous snapshot, you won't get a notification of new version. The conclusion: don't forget to update to the official FET-7.7.0 when it's released (maybe tomorrow morning).
