OK, you are the official Ukrainian translator. Read how to translate into the corresponding section on forum. You can keep me informed of your stage, I won't be upset by too many messages.

Be careful, keep a backup please, save it in a safe place and don't delete it soon. Then, check your new file in Linguist.

QuoteI am translating to ukrainian languageĀ  for the version of FET, 5.10.3. How to update to version 5.11.0 to continue translation in this version.

The easy way: send me by e-mail your translation, archived, I'll update to latest version from my hard disk.

The hard way (do it yourself): run lupdate, like described in instructions on how to translate.

When I compile (make) a project I'm using automatic call lupdate. I am writing the path to the project file in use, and writing QTDIR/bin to lupdate.exe.

No, I mean how many fields did you translate? Do you have an estimate of your future work needed, in days or weeks?

About lupdate: you need to add in src/interface/interface.pro your language (TRANSLATIONS+=../../translations/fet_uk.ts \), then type "lupdate interface.pro". You should get on the command line detailed information for your file (found 7000 source texts, 100 new and 6900 already existing) (these numbers are invented by me, but they are close to reality). Did you do this correctly?

Could you please send me your current file, so I can see it?

found 7366 source texts, 3 new and 7363 already existing. I am translating 6277.

Thank you, I got the file. You did a good job! I sent you by e-mail a file with minor (but important) corrections, please use that.

Please let me know if you agree to list your e-mail address in FET.

Also, please update to FET-5.12.0 and translate the FetMainForm_template. Then, check practically: open file translations/test-all-constraints.fet and check the All time and All space constraints, short description and long description, it should be good (read also test-all-constraints-readme.txt).

After you answer to these questions/requests, send me again your new file, so I can check it more.

Please tell me an estimate when you think you'll finish your translation. I am not sure when I'll release 5.12.1, but if you will be ready in maximum 1-2 weeks it may make it there. You may skip very large fields, like the FAQ or instructions, for the moment.

QuoteThank you, Liviu. OK - I am agree to list my e-mail address in FET.

And what is your name to list there? Amelk or would you give the exact name? Preferably Latin characters.

Quote
I update to FET-5.12.0 and translate the FetMainForm_template at 1-2 weeks.

FetMainForm_template is a section in the translation, I mean (it represents the main window - the menu).

Also, don't forget to check the all constraints, like I wrote, it is very important.

My name is Melnyk Andriy.

OK, I'll add your name at the right moment (a small note: my name is Liviu Lalescu, so first name is Liviu and family name is Lalescu and we prefer this order, with family name on the last position. This is a standard notation in English. So, if your first name is Andriy, should we put it first, like Andriy Melnyk?)

I remember your name, did we communicate by e-mail about FET a very long time ago?

I didn't receive it yet, I'll wait some more.

So, I'll add your uk translation officially into FET. Could you tell me an estimate of when will you finish the translation? I would like the future 5.12.1 to have the translation finished.

I think 5.12.1 will be released in 1-2 weeks, I am not sure though, maybe sooner, maybe later.
