Hi Liviu,
we must occupy the gym-room only 18 hours in the week, among the 35 hours of the week.
We don't have to fix the hours reserved: the important thing is that we can occupy the gym (in the morning) for only 18 hours, with our two teachers (one has 2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2 hours with his nine classes and the other has 2+2+2 hours with his three classes, so they must go togheter for 2+2+2 hours in the gym).
Thank you,
Guido.

Tips and Tricks / block a teacher
September 24, 2016, 05:52:28 PM
Hi Liviu,
i've generated a timetable with fet and i want to do a new generation of a new timetable with a teacher blocked (with the activities in the same hours of the same days of the previous one).
For example:

Mister X in the old timetable (5 hours a day: mon - fri; X=no lesson):
mon 1A-1A-1A-X-X-X; tue 1B-1B-X-1C-1C; wed X-X-X-X-X; thu X-X-2C-2C-2C; fri 3B-3B-X-X-X;

Mister X in the NEW timetable
mon 1A-1A-1A-X-X-X; tue 1B-1B-X-1C-1C; wed X-X-X-X-X; thu X-X-2C-2C-2C; fri 3B-3B-X-X-X;

What may i do?
Thanks in advance.

Get Help / Re: Fet not generate - help

Hello Volker and Liviu,

i red the basic manual and i found it useful, but i'm still searching about detailed explanations (perhaps more examples, differencies, how the info are expressed ...) about the indicators at the "generate" level:

1. view current timetable and impossible activities,
2. view highest stage timetable,
3. view difficult activities ....

Can you help me?

Thank you in advance,
Guido.

Hello,
i red the Fet documentation Version 0.7c, but i don't find explanations about the informations at the "generate" level, so i can not do troubleshooting on my timetable. I think in general this doc is too difficult for a beginner.
Thank you.

Get Help / Not available days
February 05, 2016, 08:38:36 AM
Hello,

I define a subject "free day" of 6 hours to permit fet to choose not available days for the teachers, but when i use a constraint like "a teacher's not available time" for eliminating hours, fet is not able to fix the activity "free day" because the hours are now not available any more.
So i've changed  the constrain and i use  only a constraint on activities:  " a set of activities has a set of preferred time slots". Is it a good policy?

Thank you,
Guido.

Get Help / Fet not generate - help
February 05, 2016, 08:32:28 AM
Hello,
it's the first time i write in this forum.

Fet has some difficulties in generate the timetable. I'd like to know which are the most significant info to see to understand  where is the  bottleneck and how to use them (view current timetable and impossible activities, view highest stage timetable, view difficult activities .... i see different info and i don't find the solution).

Thank you.
Guido.
