My teachers work 22 hours which is 11* 2 hour blocks and there are quite  a lot of classes. Our Day classes do 10* 2 hour periods per week and our night classes do 8* 2 hour periods per week so there are lots of periods for teachers across day and night classes.

I'm nor sure I understand how the "trick" will help. Could you please provide more information?

How do I set the max hours per week for a teacher? My teachers work 5 days per week, up to 22 hours per week. There are 4 possible teaching periods per day and the number of periods taught each day varies.
