when i open your file, i get a popup with version info, my FET is 5.37.2 but yours is 5.37.3, reecommended to update,
is yours the FET-mapr ?
is mapr short for moroccan or algerian version?
which one do you recommend me to use?

the fourth subject is only a substitute, if collisions with main subjects and minor 1 and 2 make the schedule difficult,
in case of impossible subject combination the substitute will replace one of the minors.

I do not understand your students years and groups. These were supposed to be students' names.

That's why i sent you my FET Data, i wasn't sure, where i should enter all the students, i planned to enter them as subgroups.
But before entering them, i contacted you, to find out in which position (Year, Group, Subgroup, or activity)

But most of all, the important thing: are we going to use the official FET or the FET-mapr custom version?

1) Official FET: you have a list of activities. Each activity has a subject, a students set (one or more students), and a teacher. FET will schedule activities to time slots. So in this version you know exactly the students who learn with which teacher.

2) FET-mapr: you have a list of activities and a list of FET rooms = real life teachers. Each activity has a subject, a student (a single student) and no teachers. You will add a list of rooms and a list of space constraints to put the activities in a time slot and in a FET room = a real teacher. Unfortunately, this FET-mapr version is more difficult to work with, but we can try. So in this version you attribute students to teachers.

This is absolutely up to you and your expert opinion, i will work with whatever your advice is.
I havn't tried the FET room = teacher yet, should i try this first?

PS: If it is the (2) variant, we might be able to use the method from this topic: https://lalescu.ro/liviu/fet/forum/index.php?topic=1782.0 . It is a long topic, but it is easier and better to use than FET-mapr. It was used with great success by that user.

first of all, thanks for fantastic support.

i will send last years data, i exchanged all real names with numbers. We also do that in our scheduling, each student gets a number assigned,
so every student can read the hung out schedule by looking for his number.

please fill in one or two of the students, so that i understand, which way to go.

i'll attach the files to a personal message, if you have any questions, please let me know.

the columns in the list are:

family name, first name, main subject, minor subject 1, minor subject 2, minor subject substitute (in case of collisions or if the course is fully booked), gender, birth date

also i do have natural limitations in some subjects,
for example Tennis and Tabletennis can take 24 students only (each), more isn't possible, because we don't have more courts to play on.

as mentioned, i already made a Year selection and added subgroups,
let me know, if this was done the right way.

i try to exlain once more in english,

about 100 up to 120 Kids enroll for the Summercamp,
schedule is the same for every day, so i only need a working schedule for one day

each kid has one main subject (instrumental or singing),
which is visited twice a day.
2 side subjects (minor), which are visited once a day, one hour each

for example

i give saxophone lessons.
when enrollment is finished, i divide my students into groups.
6 saxophone students -> 2 groups.
those students visit me for one group session (group a or group b) and one ensemble session (group a and group b)
also these students have on training hour per day (instrumental without teacher).

1 hour per day is free.

the teachers are fixed before the enrollment starts. Subjects are connected to these teachers,
if necessary we do have 3 Piano classes (teachers).

i already did the following entries:

all teachers
all instruments (which are assigned to teachers)
all minor subjects
the years
the groups

do you suggest entering Students as subgroups?

what do you mean by:

wir betreuen ca. 100 bis 120 Schüler und sind meistens 14 Lehrer

Müssen alle Schüler eines Hauptfaches die Übungsstunde gemeinsam haben oder darf jedes Kind seine eigene individuelle Übungsstunde haben?

Nein, die Übungsstunde kann zu individuellen Stunden sein, vorteilhaft ist mitunter, wenn die Übungsstunde zeitgleich mit einer Unterrichtsstunde der gleichen Instrumentengruppe ist,
dann kann ich im Bedarfsfall Übungsstundenkinder in die Unterrichtsstunde holen, das ist aber nur ein "nice to have", nicht zwingend nötig.
z.b.
Ich unterrichte Saxophon.
Am Ende der Anmeldefrist habe ich 6 Anmeldungen für dieses Instrument.
Diese teile ich in 2 Gruppen, habe dann z.b. Sax a und Sax b.

Diese haben jeweils 1 Stunde Unterricht am Vormittag (1. oder 2. Stunde), das kann Sax a sein und danach Sax a und Sax b (Ensemble),
oder auch Sax a und danach Sax b, Ensemblestunde am Nachmittag.
Vorzugsweise nehme ich als Lehrer die erste Nachmittagsstunde für Instrumentalunterricht, die 2. und 3. Nachmittagsstunde dann für Sport.

Bevor ich das richtig beantworten kann, benötige ich eine wichtige Information:
Gibt es ein Hauptfach bzw ein Nebenfach nur ein mal?

Ja Hauptfächer gibt es nur ein mal, die Schüler werden dann von den Lehrern in Gruppen aufgeteilt,
je nach Alter und Können.

Nebenfächer wählt man auch nur einmal, also z.B. kann man nich 2 mal Volleyball als Nebenfach wählen.

Ist also mit der Wahl 100% klar welcher Schüler in welche Gruppe kommt.

mit der Wahl des Faches ist noch nicht klar, in welche Gruppe er kommt, das teilen die Lehrer ein (vor Erstellen des Stundenplans)

Falls "Nein, es könnten auch z.B. so viele Kinder Schlagzeug wählen, dass nicht alle in eine Gruppe kommen, sondern das es mehr als eine Schlagzeuggruppe geben muss".
Dann gibt es vom Prinzip 3 Möglichkeiten:
a) Sie müssen selbst die Gruppenaufteilung vorher vornehmen und können diese Aufteilung in FET eintragen. Dabei ist allerdings die Gefahr sehr groß, dass die Aufteilung evtl. aufgrund der Nebenfachwählen schlecht gemacht wird und die Stunden nicht konfliktfrei gesetzt werden können. Dies können Sie sowohl in FET per grafischer Oberfläche als auch per csv machen. (Allerdings nicht mit ihrem Vorgeschlagenen Format. Das muss etwas anders aussehen.)
b) Sie können es mit FET MAPR ausprobieren, da FET MAPR versucht die Kurszusammensetzung selbst zu machen. Für nicht allzu viele Schüler funktioniert das. Bei vielen Schülern funktioniert es evtl nicht gut. Wir benötigen mehr Tester für FET MAPR und haben da noch nicht genügend Rückmeldung von Anwendern.
c) Bei vielen Schülern und Wahlen wird die Kurseinteilung vor der eigentlichen Stundenplanung gemacht. Dies ist ein typischen Problem für Oberstufen in Deutschland. Das geht nicht mit FET, sondern mit anderen Programmen. Diese machen dann die Kurseinteilung und exportieren die Daten an die Stundenplanungsprogramme (wie FET). Ich bin gerade dabei so eine automatische Kurseinteilung selbst zu entwickeln. Erste Test laufen auch sehr gut. Meine Testdatensätze werden im Vergleich Kurs42 und CyptoMiniSat deutlich schneller gelöst. Wir können auch gerne ihren Datensatz ausprobieren. Ich habe allerdings noch keine Eingabemöglichkeit per grafischer Oberfläche. Die Daten müssen in einem csv-Format übergeben werden. Leider ist der export zu FET im Moment noch nicht fertig, daran arbeite ich noch.

Ich hoffe, dass es konfliktfrei geht, als Notlösung gibt es bei der Anmeldung auch ein "Ersatznebenfach", welches im Konfliktfall eines der gewählten Nebenfächer ersetzt.

Was ist FET MAPR?
funktioniert das auch unter MacOS (High Sierra)?

Die eigentliche Stundenplanung vor der Kurseinteilung funktioniert nicht, da die Stunden abhängig von individuellen Anmeldungen sind.
Bei Stundenkollisionen muss die sozusagen beste Lösung für 100 Kids gewählt werden.

The FET-mapr version is difficult to use and does not always give results. It is useful if you don't know which activity exactly has which students set and which teacher. It will assign activities with students to FET rooms = real teachers.

Ich brauche für eine Woche einen Stundenplan für ein Musik und Sport Camp.
Effektiv funktionieren muss der Stundenplan nur an einem einzigen Tag, der Stundenplan ist täglich gleich.
Als Zeit habe ich demnach nur Montag ausgewählt, die Einheiten sind zeitlich eingetragen (7 Std pro Tag),
wobei die 7.Stunde ein Gemeinschaftsprojekt ist, also nur 6 Stunden sehr individuell geplant sein müssen.

Die Schüler melden sich an, wählen bei der Anmeldung ein Hauptfach (2 Std. pro Tag mit Lehrkraft + eine Übungsstunde ohne Lehrkraft),
und wählen 2 Nebenfächer (jeweils 1 Std pro Tag und Fach). Ausserdem hat jeder Schüler pro Tag eine Freistunde (vorzugsweise mit Freunden).

Ich möchte FET so nutzen, dass nach Eingabe aller Schüler der Stundenplan sich nach deren Fachwahl generiert.

Was ich bis jetzt noch nicht verstanden habe, ist wie und wo ich die Schüler in FET eingebe.
Gibt es eine Importmöglichkeit, bei welcher ich Vorname, Familienname, Hauptfach, Nebenfach1, Nebenfach2 als Felder definiert in FET hineinbekomme?
UTF-8 komma getrennt?

Wie wäre ihrer Meinung nach die klügste Herangehensweise?

Mein Status in Fet momentan:

Als Fächer habe ich alle Instrumente eingetragen, welche man beim Camp wählen kann, manche davon sind im Unterricht immer gruppiert (z.b. Violinen mit Celli)
Auch die Nebenfächer sind bereits alle in dieser Fächerliste.

Die Lehrer sind auch alle eingetragen, manche Lehrer unterrichten Musik und Sport.
Es sollte für die Musik und Sportlehrenden die Präferenz möglich sein, 2 Musikstunden am Vormittag direkt hintereinander, dann eine Sportstunde,
selbiges am Nachmittag.

Schüler Jahrgang hab ich begonnen, da sind die jeweiligen Klassen eingetragen.
Diese habe ich in Gruppen unterteilt, so wie es von den Lehrenden im Vorfeld vorgeschlagen wird.

Nun geht es darum, die Schüler in das Fet zu integrieren, wie wäre das anzustellen?
Muss ich jeden Schüler als Teilgruppe anlegen, oder wird das über Aktivitäten und Teilaktivitäten gelöst?

Räume und Gebäude sind für uns kein Thema.
