I have 5 days : monday to friday, and 3 time slot per day : morining, afternoon and evening.
Could you tell me why are you reluctant to add it to the official release? This should be a default setting. As I said, people prefer to work in the morning so they have the rest of the day free. If a group has one course in a day, it should be in the morning, if they have 2 courses, it should be morning + afternoon, but never in the evening.
The problem is, currently, FET will put class hours randomly, so if a group has only one course in a day, FET could put it in the evening, which seems a weird choice.
The constraint "max total activities from a set in selected time slots" seems interesting but I don't think there's a need for a selection. FET should just choose itself the earliest time slots... I.M.O.

Hello I'm a new FET user . First congrats for this very handy app!!!
I have the exact same request than Stuart. I am wodnering why Stuart is the only one asking about that.
In my school we have 3 slots, I called them Morning, Afternoon and Evening. When I generate a timetable, FET puts some activities in the evening slot, even if its classroom is free during the morning and afternoon. People prefer to work early and have their evening free. So by default, FET should put as many activities as it can in the morning, then in the afternoon, and if there's no other way, in the evneing.
So I was wondering, perhaps FET has evolved since 2018, is there a simple solution available now? If it exists, I don't think it should be available only in a custom, private built.
