Get Help / Max hours daily in interval
July 11, 2024, 04:02:59 PM
Our school have Lunch lesson at the 7th period. Teachers teach the 7th period can back to school at the 10th period. So I cannot arrange lesson for them at the 9th period.

6th period
7th period       <--Teachers have lesson here,
8th period --X-- Lunch break (added by break time)
9th period       <-- cannot have lesson here.
10th period

I used the time constraints for all teachers: max hours daily in interval
Interval start hour=7
Interval start hour=9
Max hours daily=1

But it doesn't works... Did I misuse the function?

Get Help / Grouped activities not split by break
July 11, 2024, 09:01:19 AM
Hello, thank you for the FET software.
I have a question about grouped activities with breaks.
F1 have 4 class ABCD, two teachers (T1/T2) teach F1 (AB/CD) English. They want to have a test together once per week.

I set the activities F1AC (Eng Test) have the same starting time, F1BD(Eng Test) have the same starting time, then I grouped F1AB(Eng Test) together, I want to have the result:
Period 2          F1A(Eng Test)   F1B(Eng Test)
Period 3     F1C(Eng Test)   F1D(Eng Test)
----X----- Break
Period 4
But some times it will have the result :
Period 2
Period 3     F1A(Eng Test)   F1B(Eng Test)
----X----- Break
Period 4     F1C(Eng Test)   F1D(Eng Test)
I know that it can be solved by set them be consecutive activities and assign the 1st activity having starting time Period 2 or Period 4.
But can I solve it with those activities are grouped? (not in order) and not split by break.

Many Thanks.

Thx for the program.

I have a 5 days a weeks and 8 periods a day timetable.

In my school, the 4th and 6th Periods is a little bit longer then others, so the teachers teaching those periods can get extra pay.

Is it possible to make the timetable distribute the teachers to those time slocks "relatively" evenly?
(e.g. there is 10 of those time slocks, the max. teacher get 6 and min. teacher get 3 of those slocks is ok, but the max. teacher get 9 and min. teacher get 1 is not ok...)

Thx for the amazing program.

I got a problem about lunch break and I don't know how to solve it.

I have 5 days a week, 8 periods a day, and there is a lunch break between the 5th and the 6th period, some class may have lunch lesson during the lunch break. (different classes have different number of lunch lesson)
All students must have lesson at the 6th Period, but teacher having Lunch Lesson can't have the 6th Period

5th Period                 <--Teachers end morning before here
Lunch Lesson                                                         <---**Teachers end morning here
Dum Lunch
6th Period                 <--Teachers can teach this period    <---**Teachers can't teach this period
7th Period                                                                      <---**Teachers can teach this period

I want the program to decide which teachers teach the Lunch lesson, but the teachers teaching the lunch lesson must have a break at the 6th Period at the same day.

Thx a lot.
