I have buildings set up as psuedo-sites so that I can differentiate them on FET.  I have a teacher that can only be on a particular site for 1 day.

Ive set up 'max building changes per week for teacher' to 1, but it doesnt seem to make a difference, they still end up on a different site twice.

am I misunderstanding the setting?

is there any way of making FET use a room as a sort of overflow room?  For example, I have 6 groups that each have 3 hours of 'study time' on their time tables.  This can be done in open access IT areas or at home.  The trouble is, if I create a 'room' for it, itll only use that room once, instead of being able to put more than one class in there at the same time which I want to do.

my college doesnt have any global breaks in order to maximize room loading efficiency.

it is possible to create a rule that puts in a preferred break of 2 slots for each sub-group during a particular time period?

for example.

group Elec1A would prefer to have a half hour break (2 slots) somewhere between 11.30 and 13.30, but it doesnt matter where it is in that bracket.

Id not specified some of the subjects to the right rooms (any of them in this case) so it was just picking up that slot as it was available.

hi all,

just starting using FET this morning and Im very impressed so far.

but I have a problem.

I have to time table across 2 campus sites, meaning that staff have to remain on the same site for a whole day.

Ive set up 2 buildings, to mimic my sites and set 'max building changes per day for all teachers' to 0 to hopefully stop FET swapping their site during a day. but its ignoring it.

any ideas?
