Oh, you're so right! Among a lot of things, I had renamed some teachers!   :-\

I'm really sorry, but I can't replicate it any more too. I wasn't editing the file with a text editor. The last time that this file had been edited was with 5.23.3. I downloaded 5.29.1 and while I was doing some editing, the error window popped up. I'll do some more tests and If ut happend again, I'll let you know!

Meh! I was editing a file that had been created with fet 5.23 and now that I have deleted all "teacher not available" constraints, every time I add a new one, I can delete it without the "assertion failed" message. So, I guess all is well...  ::)

Hi!
I'm using Fet 5.29.1 with Windows 7 x64 SP1 and each time I delete a "teacher not available constraint" I get a windows that says ---------------------------

Assertion failed!

Program: C:\Users\temp1\Desktop\fet-5.29.1\fet.exe

I understand now, thank you!

That's ok, I also thought that it would be difficult  :)

I'm really sorry, I don't understand what I should do. Is this from "a set of activities occupies max times slots from selection"? What should I do next?

Hi!
Is there a way to set a minimum distance between first teaching hour and last teaching hour?
I have set maximum hours continuously to be 4, but sometimes the generated timetable contains a teacher that teaches 4 hours in a day and they become consecutive. What I would like is for him to be at school for at least 5 hours even if he has a gap.

Get Help / Hourly interval min days per week
October 09, 2015, 03:36:14 PM
Hi!
I know there is an option for setting an hourly interval maximum days per week. Can a similar thing be achieved with minimum days? I would like all teachers to teach at least once or twice every week in the last hour.

Got it! Thanks very much  :)

All constraints are respected. The stronger wins. This is not always pleasant for the user. In some cases you need to add individual constraints for each teacher.

Ex: All teachers max gaps = 2, T1 max gaps = 3, then the second constraint is ignored.

What exactly does "stronger" mean?
Why is "all teachers" stronger in "All teachers max gaps = 2, T1 max gaps = 3"? Is it because it has lower value?
If it was "All teachers max gaps = 2, T1 max gaps = 1", which one would be stronger?

Hi!
I have set max gaps per day for all teachers to be 2. If I set max gaps per day for a specific teacher to be 1 or 3, does this setting override the general setting? Does this apply for all global settings that can be altered for a specific teacher, like max hours continuously, min days, etc?

Maybe try this: add a dummy activity, no teachers/students sets, consecutive with Gymnastics (it follows it). Then, not overlapping the dummy with Science-s.

Nice! But now Gymnastics can't be assigned to last houe, correct? And do I have to do this for every activity of Gymnastics (activity1 -> dummy, activity2 -> dummy)?

Hi! Thanks for your answer.
I have to apologize, I didn't phrase correctly what I aim to achieve. I shouldn't have said "gap", but any other activity instead.
So, I want to have "Gymnastics, then at least one activity, then Science".
I mean, when Gymnastics and Science appears on the same day, then I don't want Science right after Gymnastics, but I want any other subject.

Hi!
I have a subject of Gymnastics (with several activities) which I want it to be at least one gap far from another subject called Science (also with several activities) if they happen to be in one day. My goal is not to have sweaty students in Science... I don't mind it to be "Science, then immediately Gymnastics", I just want it to be "Gymnastics, then at least one gap, then Science".
Is there a way for this?
