Suggestions / Re: more time periods
February 11, 2010, 11:19:42 PM
Actually, I did create a new school and modified the hours per day section as 80. But what will happen when I generate the timetable? Shouldn't I use the GUI interface to set up my constraints?

Thank you both for your support.
I have done the 1st step under Qt and have src rebuilded. but I don't know about the 2nd step. Should I create a new school dataset, and then have it modified afterward? Please let me know. Thank you.

Suggestions / more time periods
February 09, 2010, 08:46:12 PM
Hi,

Is it possible to increase time periods up to around 80? Since I want to set small time period (10 minutes) for up to 12 hours in a day. Now it can only work for 10 hours with 60 periods.
Early response will be appreciated.

Get Help / break issue
February 21, 2010, 03:31:59 AM
Hi, all;
I am testing an interesting time-table case. Let's say one subject (2 hours) is taught by two teachers. One teacher is assigned with 50 minutes, 10 minutes break, then another teacher with 60 minutes. Since two teachers are teaching the same subject, so they need to be "grouped" as described in FET constraint.
But now I got "break" here, if I set all three as three different activities, then I have to "group all three up", but I cannot force "break" activity is in the middle of all three. I want it to be auto-generated, so the break time is un-defined.
What I want it to be are as the following two cases:
either 50-10-60 (minutes)
or      60-10-50 (minutes)
Is it possible to add another constraint on "grouped three"? Please let me know, thank you.

It looks fine to me.

I have tried 6 different sets of grouped activities all at once with weight 100%, and there's no obvious mistake. Thank you for your help. ;)

Get Help / Two activities occur one after another

Hello, everyone, I'm new to the forum, and I am excited to use FET for scheduling needs.

What I need is a way to make the following constraint: :-?

Activity1 and Activity 2 should come "together", which means it can be either [Activity 1, Activity 2] or [Activity 2, Activity 1].
It is not "consecutive" or "ordered". Please let me know if you have a solution. Thank you.

Talk It Up! / Open Source OMR

Hi, all;

I was wondering if there is any open source OMR (optical mark recognition) software out there? I'd appreciate any information. Thank you. :)
