Hola:

Saludos

Hello:
This year another teacher made the timetable with Peñalara software (propietary software, made in Spain: http://www.penalara.com/). I want to learn how to use FET and I want to make the timetable of this year using FET. So the timetable is posible, but FET can't. What I do wrong?

Get Help / Hours of watchers to the teachers
September 02, 2011, 11:45:07 AM
Hello:
In the spanish forum we have one question:

http://lalescu.ro/liviu/fet/forum/index.php?topic=1017.msg5907#msg5907

In Spain the teachers has any hours of Watchers (Guardia). In these hours the teatchers supply other teachers and resolv some problems (pupil ill, call fathers, etc.). I attach the fet file. In the file are a subject called Guardia. Every teacher has aprox. three hours in the week. The problem is that in the timetable some hours has only one teacher and some hours has six teacher. We need tell to fet that every hour has a number of teachers (better, a min and a max). We don't need team teaching activity, because it doesn't matter what teacher is one hour. As well as team teaching activity constraints the timetable innecesary.

Is it possibily?

Thanks

Get Help / subgroups at the same time
March 12, 2011, 11:20:26 PM
Hello:
My school has 9 years splits in several groups, 1º A, 1º B, 2º A, ...
I made one year in FET to all the scholl and made groups 1º A, 1º B...
The problem comes with Religion. Some pupils of each group go to Religion or to Alternative. I made subgroups: 1º A rel, 1º A Alt,...but when I generate the timetable, FET don't put this activities at same time. I had read this in the manual:
The students have different religions in the same classes. So they have religion in courses.
If there is only one subject, then it the easiest (and if pupils have no unused period in their table it is the only possible solution) to scheduled all at the same time. There are several possibilities to do it (compare Add an activity and constraint A set of activities has same starting time (day+hour)). In most cases you just add the subject religion. It's clear if the religion is christian, jewish, muslim or philosophy, because you can see this by the teachers name.

but I don't understand. What I do wrong?

Thanks

Get Help / Error in the manual?
March 09, 2011, 05:36:19 PM
Hello:
I think this text from manual is incorrect:

http://www.timetabling.de/manual/FET-manual.en.html#id_19

A set of activities should be instructed on different days, but they must not instructed on different days.

The correct:
but they must not be instructed on different days.

and the two sentences means the same, then I don't understand.

Thanks.

The example in the manual is:
An activity is splitted into 4 activities per week. Only one of these activities need the computer lab and not the home room.
My question is:
An activity is splitted into 4 activities per week. The 4 activities need the computer lab.

How make it in one step? I only know make it by the 4 activities.

One suggestion: When I add a activitie, that I can add the preferred room.

Thanks
