Teacher specific periods

We have 5 working days with 12 hr/day ( 1 hr breakfast, 1 short break, 1 hr lunch so it will be 8 hrs working in actual)
The constrain is "All Class Teachers needs to get 1st and 2nd period in their classes"
Ex: Preeti is a class teacher of KG-A
     She takes Math, EVS and English
     She also takes Comp, ENG(Reading)   along with other teachers
     Preeti takes 30hr/week out of which 22 Classes are for Math , EVS and ENG
it is required that any of these three subjects MATH, EVS & ENG should come for the 1st and 2nd period/Hr in the time table

Please see the constraint activities occupy max time slots from selection and its help. I think you can solve your problem with n_teachers constraints of this type.

I have used this constrain but some where i am wrong for which the expected time table is not generated
Please look into the data what i have created,

Preeti has 7hr English , 10 Math and 5 EVS classes, she also takes other classes teaming up with other teacher.
She has altogether 30 hr assigned to her per week
The data entered in constrain is
In activities ENG, MATH and EVS are selected, In time slots 1st and 2nd period is unchecked(marked in green) the remaining fields are checked(marked in red) and MAX OCUUPIED is given as 20 ( 30 - 10 [ 2* 5 hrs for this teacher])

But this does not fetch the required result

Max occupied should be 12=(7+10+5)-(2*5).

Hi

I am facing same problem again

I have a class teacher who is suppose to be with the class for Breakfast , lunch , ss and science period
that is

5 breakfast
5 lunch
1 ss
6 science

there is a time constrain that 2nd period should be breakfast, 8th period should be lunch, ss period should be last and
the remaining is science period.
there are 6 science periods, out of which 5 should come in 1st period the other period can be any time.

i have used the constraint "activities occupy max time slots from selection" and have selected science 6 activities and the max occupied to be 1 hour( 6 - (1*5)) = 1
but the time table is not getting generated....

use 2nd period tag, and assign activities (teacher+breakfast+1hr) x 5 times
and apply the constraint with the tag which allows 2 period for five days.

If there is similar sixth activity, which can be placed other than 2nd period, then use it without the tag 2nd period.

Similarly you can do for others also with appropriate named tags.

Please let us know if you managed to solve it (including if reply number #6 works). Otherwise, I might need to answer (but I admit I did not understand exactly your question - so I need more explanations).
