Hi, I prepared the data then generated the timetable but I didn't see the rooms. May I got mistake?

One more thing, what is the different between group and subgroup? and should I use it in my case?

Thanks.

You need to add space constraints, to constrain activities to rooms, otherwise they will be in unspecified rooms.

Years contain groups which contain subgroups. This is a 3 level organization. If you don't need subgroups, then don't use them.

Thanks a lot.
Is there any way to put one constraint for all spaces, I mean that I'm not going to assign specific room(s) for each activity?

or I should go through all activity and assign their room constraint?

Best regards

You have to assign preferred rooms to subject, to subject+activity tag or to each activity (this last one is tedious and difficult to add). Also, you can add home rooms. Preferred rooms override home rooms.

If you want random rooms for each activity, the probably the easiest way is to add constraint subject preferred rooms for each subject (subject S1, rooms = all rooms, weight =100%, then subject S2, all rooms, ...then subject Sn, all rooms).

Or, add teachers' home rooms for each teacher (T1, all rooms, T2, all rooms, ..., Tn, all rooms). This in case you have less teachers than subjects. it is easier to add. But the preferred subject looks better and is clearer and nicer to use.

Great. But is there any tag or way to add such subject constraint (all rooms)? or I have to add room by room?

Really,
I appreciate your fast replys.

Add room by room, but it is simple, because you need only once to select all the rooms, then just change the subject and click add constraint.

It is my pleasure to help :-)
