Dear All,

I would like to list FET credits as "Copyright (C) 2002-2012 The FET Team". Is that an inspired change? I don't want: (1) Conflicts with other possible registered names similar to what I chose, (2) Not to be ridiculous/weird, (3) Not to have unsuitable associations with other names (I Googled "The FET Team", it seems that it is also used for some military things), and (4) In the future, to avoid someone else registering this name and asking me to change it or worse things (so, I would prefer a term which cannot be registered, because I am not in the mood to register anything).

Or can you suggest other names?

What does FET actually stand for Liviu?

A long time ago, I named the program "timetable". Then, near 2003, we debated on an old mailing list, so we came with FET - Free Evolutionary Timetabling. It is no longer Evolutionary, so the E in the middle can stand for anything the user prefers, maybe Educational (see the README file).

It is good, because the word "FET" probably cannot be registered, so I have no problems. It is also nice, cause I could name the input file type ".fet" (like data.fet).

Do you suggest a name change? :-)

No personally I think FET is fine.

It is a great program and as such it should retain it's name.

"The FET Crew"? Is that better?

Or "The FET Team"? Does it disturb you, personally? (see what I wrote about conflicts with other names). Is that name taken for other things and I should avoid to use it, for trademark problems?
