I read in the manuel :
"" The exact way
The exact way can maybe find a better solution, but is not recommended, because it's much more work. So entering the dataset and generating a timetable need much more time (at least 2 times).
You need to enter 2 weeks in the basic settings. Enter all activities 2 times. One time with activity tag "odd weeks" and the other time with activity tag "even weeks". The forthrightly activities are just entered one time. Set a constraint preferd time to activities with activity tag "odd week" to periods of the "odd week". Do the same with "even weeks". Be careful many constraints must be added two times! ""
how to get two weeks in the basic settings?
Thank you

Go to fet -> Data -> Days and hours -> Days per week
Increase the number of days per week up to 10 (if you have a 5 day week), 12 (if you have a 6 day week) or 14 (if you have an 7 day week).
Now enter the new day names of the second week into the new free fields. Maybe call them "Monday B", Tuesday B", ...

thank you
How do I set these activities, especially the first week and other activities, especially the second week
or
How do I enter special activities in the first week and activities for the second week

Volker Dirr

add an activity tag "first week".
add an activity tag "second week".
add a time constraint to activity tag "first week" and allow only slots from first week.
add a time constraint to activity tag "second week" and allow only slots from second week.

now you can add activities like always.
if it doesn't matter if it is in the first week or in the second, then don't add an activity tag.
if it is only allowed in the first week, add activity tag "first week".
same with second week.

hint:
if ALL your activities will get an "first week" or and "second week" activity tag, then it will be much easier if you simply work with 2 different fet data files and generate each week separated.
many school do it like that and they:
use one table every odd and the other table every even week.
or
use one table the first half of the calendar year and the other table the second half of the calendar year.

This is a great explanation and information for future TTs. Thanks Volker.

Another trick that I use is to create two sets of everything. A bit complicated, but I think it is the only way to create 2 weeks schedule that is also symmetrical whenever possible. Let me explain:

- set up the basic days as normal, 5 days
- For each teacher, you have Teacher-1 and Teacher-2, each representing the same teacher, but for week1 or week2
- For each student group, you should create subgroup Y6A-1 and Y6A-2 for week1 and week2 of Y6A
- For classes that appear on both week, but at the same time and day, just add Teacher-1 and Teacher-2 to the same activity, also Y6A (not the subgroups)
- For classes that only happen on a particular week, add just the correct teacher (1 or 2) and the correct student subgroup.
- While having is symmetrical schedule is probably preferred for most cases, in case you don't want symmetrical schedule for some reason, just create separate activities and assign Teacher-1 to one and Teacher-2 to the other.
- You actually don't need to create a set of two for EVERYTHING. If you have teachers who would only teach classes that are always same for both weeks, then you only need to great one teacher in that case.
- You will also need to do the same for room, Rm101-1, Rm101-2
- To see Teacher's timetable for week one, just look at the timetable for Teacher-1
- To see student's timetable for week two, just look at Year 6A-2...etc.

Yes, it is double the work. But he major benefit of doing it this way is you can have symmetrical schedule for classes that are essentially on a 1 week schedule but needed to be doubled up because other classes are on rotation of the two weeks. I don't think this can be done with the activity tag trick mentioned earlier (which is an awesome trick).
