certain starting time for subjects

I have  this exam time table that start at 0900 to 1200. Then 1430 to 1730. Problem is, there are two types of duration for exam paper. One is 3 hours and 2nd is 2 1/2 hours.

My problem is, every exam for morning session must start at 0900 or at 1430. This is ok if that subject got 3 hours but if the subject only got 2 1/2 hours, FET will choose whether to pick the time slot at 0900 (finish at 1130) or at 0930 (finish at 1200). This is the same for evening session.

The solution that I know of is to set each subject that have 2 1/2 hours to start at 0900. But IF the total subject is 100, I have to manually do change all of that. FUH!!!!

So, my suggestion is to make some global parameter so that we can set the starting time for all subject or a set of subject to start at certain time.

You could add constraint activities preferred starting times for certain subjects. Or add for each activity with duration 2 1/2 a special activity tag, and then a single constraint activities preferred starting times for this activity tag.

I think I know how to do it.  But it also involves a lot of time if I have many subjects that have 2 1/2 hours.

If I have 50 subjects, then I need to make those 50 subject an activity tag and add a new constraint activities preferred time slot for one time only.

I just hope there is much simple and easy way

Maybe add a constraint activities preferred starting times, for all activities (no subject, no act. tag, no teacher, not students set specified). The allowed starting times are 9:00 and 14:30 each day.
