I do not understand. Maybe you need to use constraint teachers max hours continuously or min gaps between a set of activities.

Here is the scenario on my Question.
I have 2 kind of activitites Theory subjects, Lab subjects
I have 2 Groups Group A ( department section A) and Group B (Department section B) with 75 students each.
According to my institution, no staffs should go to the theory hours contiuously either in his own group / with in the group (  ( exception for the lab hours)
 a) Own group - ex : 3 rd and 4th hours continuously
 b) Among groups - ex : 3rd hour in group A and 4th hours in Group B

i am not 100% sure if i understood correct, but i think you can tag each activity ans use a max hours continously constraint for that tag.

Ok... Let me try to explain in better way.

We have 7 hours defined per day and working for 5 days.
We have 3 types of subjects... we consider this as activity. The type of subjects are Theory, Lab & Tutorial. We will have 5 theory subjects, 1 tutorial & 2 labs for a semester. The same theory subject cannot be repeated for the same day. For eg, 'Theory of Machines' (Theory)subject can be repeated for the same day. The 'Fluid Mechanics' (Lab) subject should come continuously for 3 hours either in the forenoon or afternoon on the same day.

But, 'Min hours daily for a teacher' is assigned to 2 hours in the FET timetable generation configuration. If I try to change the same constraint to 1 hour the system does not allow me to do so. Hence the theory subject ('Theory of Machines') is repeating twice for the same day i.e on Tuesday. We can not allocate 2 hours for the same class for same day.

Please advise us if there is any other option to generate the time table without repeating theory subjects in a day.

Please get latest snapshot and try the constraint students activity tag max hours daily (you need to activate it in Settings Advanced first).

Is it related to student constraint?

Yes, constraints for students (you have also for teachers, if you want). But they are in the FET snapshot 5.4.11 (see global annoucement) and you need to activate them).
