Two possible lunch periods with maximum flexibility of student distribution

Hello,

I searched the forum for a similar situation, but was unable to locate this particular problem (apologies if this has already been addressed).

We will have two lunch periods, but are not concerned for student groups traveling together or having the same lunch period throughout the week. In order to maximize the flexibility of many subject choices (and many part-time staff), I would like FET to determine the optimal lunch period per day for each student schedule; hopefully without having to create the activity manually for each student sub-group.
Is this possible?

Absolutely no problem. There must be many requests like yours on the forum (please search the forum for the word "lunch"), but I cannot add a perfect implementation in the official FET, because of gaps treatment.

I think there is at least a similar request and solution, but for teachers: https://lalescu.ro/liviu/fet/download/custom/poetasandaluces/ and https://lalescu.ro/liviu/fet/forum/index.php?topic=4671.0 .

There are these possible solutions for your problem:

1) Add an activity for each students subgroup (=real student?). You don't like this.

2) Use the constraint type activities occupy max time slots from selection. For each students subgroup, for each day, select the 2 (?) allowed slots, max occupied = 1. Very many constraints to add.

3) I could implement for you something like for poetasandaluces above, but for students subgroups.

Thank you for your response and willingness to assist. Ultimately, I went with solution 1 (which I only disliked because of my own laziness).
I have another conundrum, but I will generate a new thread.
